Terms of Service

Last updated: March 29, 2026

Welcome to Music Switch! By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our playlist transfer service. This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Music Switch ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the Music Switch website and application (collectively, "the Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you are prohibited from using the Service and must discontinue use immediately.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change or modify portions of these Terms at any time. If we do this, we will post the changes on this page and indicate the date these terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Music Switch provides a high-performance digital utility designed to facilitate the migration and synchronization of music metadata and playlists between various supported music streaming platforms.

Core Capabilities

  • Multi-Platform Support: Facilitating transfers between Apple Music, YouTube Music, NetEase Cloud Music, and QQ Music.
  • Triple-Match Technology: Our proprietary matching engine utilizes a combination of International Standard Recording Codes (ISRC), advanced keyword metadata analysis, and AI-driven audio fingerprinting to ensure high-fidelity transfers.
  • Accuracy Disclaimer: While our system aims for 95%+ matching accuracy, the availability of specific tracks is subject to the library limitations of the destination platform. Music Switch does not guarantee that every song will be available or matched on all platforms.
  • Service Evolution: We constantly update our algorithms and platform integrations. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature of the Service without prior notice.

3. Credits and Pricing

Music Switch operates on a credit-based system to ensure fair usage and accessibility for all users.

A. Credit Allocation

  • Free Tier: New users are granted 50 non-recurring credits upon successful account creation. These credits are intended for trial purposes and allow for the transfer of up to 50 individual tracks.
  • Credit Value: One (1) credit is consumed for every single track successfully processed for transfer, regardless of whether a match is found on the destination platform (as the processing resources are still utilized).
  • Lifetime Validity: Once purchased or earned, credits do not expire and will remain in the user's account for the lifetime of the Service, provided the account remains in good standing.

B. Payments and Refunds

  • Purchases: Users may purchase additional credit packs (e.g., 200, 800, or 2500 credits) at the rates displayed within the app. All transactions are processed via secure third-party payment gateways.
  • Refund Policy: We offer a 7-day refund window for credit pack purchases, provided that none of the credits from the specific purchase have been utilized. Once a single credit from a pack is used, the entire pack becomes non-refundable.
  • No Subscription: Music Switch is a pay-as-you-go service. There are no recurring monthly fees or hidden subscription costs unless explicitly stated in future updates.

4. User Accounts and Security

To use the Service, you must connect via official third-party authentication (OAuth).

  • Security: We do not see or store your passwords. Your login credentials stay with the original music platform.
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your music platform accounts and for all activities that occur under your Music Switch session.
  • Local Processing: To enhance privacy, the Service processes data locally on your device where possible. However, you acknowledge that metadata must be transmitted to our servers to facilitate the Triple-Match AI engine.

5. Acceptable Use and Restrictions

Your permission to use the Service is contingent upon the following conditions:

You May

  • Transfer your personally curated playlists between supported platforms for private, non-commercial use.
  • Utilize the Service to manage your legitimate music library across different geographical regions (e.g., moving between international and regional platforms).

You May Not

  • Commercial Exploitation: Use the Service for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to selling "playlist transfer services" to third parties.
  • Automated Abuse: Deploy bots, spiders, scrapers, or any automated scripts to interact with the Service or bypass credit limitations.
  • Reverse Engineering: Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or discover the source code of the Triple-Match engine or the Service's architecture.
  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Use the Service to facilitate the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material. You represent that you have the legal right to access the playlists you are transferring.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service, including its "Music Switch" branding, logos, UI/UX design, and the Triple-Match AI algorithm, is the exclusive property of Music Switch and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as intended. All trademarks of third-party music platforms (Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc.) are the property of their respective owners, and Music Switch claims no affiliation with or endorsement by these entities.

7. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

  • "As-Is" Basis: The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
  • No Liability for Data Loss: Music Switch shall not be held liable for any loss of data, playlists, or account access resulting from the use of our tool. Users are encouraged to maintain backups of their important playlists.
  • Limit of Damages: In no event shall Music Switch, its directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease, and any remaining credits may be forfeited.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Music Switch Legal Team is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in that jurisdiction.
